Katy Perry vs Tony Abbott on Kyle & Jackie O

Jackie O got the chance to interview Katy Perry yesterday but rather than just chatting to the star, Jackie had 3 Aussie celebs ask questions of Perry.

X-Factor host Luke Jacobz, TV newsreader Chris Bath and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott helped interview the singer.

What's making the mainstream news websites this morning is what happened when Abbott spoke with Katy. After he asked about her touring Australia, she turned the tables and confronted him on the subject of gay marriage.

When she was told of his stand on the issue, Perry said "…I can’t give you my vote then."

Abbott also commented on one of Perry's hits, saying "last time I went to the Grand Final breakfast I was introduced to one of your numbers 'Hot N Cold' and I just thought, well maybe that can be my anthem." Interesting choice.
