We currently have an exciting role available for a Junior Broadcast Technologist. This role will work as part of the technology team to maintain and provide technical support for all transmission, broadcasting, studio and broadcast IT equipment, ensuring broadcasting and technical standards of quality and performance are always maintained.
Key role outputs include:
Ensure the effective functioning of broadcasting and streaming equipment, both within studios as a priority and production environments, by responding to and resolving any technical malfunctions or operator issues regardless of the time the malfunction occurred
Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule for broadcasting and technical equipment is adhered to, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities
Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately
Assist the Technology Manager to determine requirements for outside broadcasts and coordinate resources
Always ensure the effective operation of ARN’s radio transmitter sites and transmission by monitoring signals and fail-safe systems
Provide hardware and software support for all computer systems including: on-air presentation systems (NexGen/Zetta), news presentation (NewsBoss), audio streaming and associated systems
The successful candidate will have:
Electronics background and or demonstrated Technical Knowledge
Skilled at managing conflicting priorities
Flexible and adaptable with an ability to work well under pressure
The ability to explain Technical issues to non-technical users
Broadcast transmission equipment experience or knowledge
Audio visual/live performance experience
