Jamie Angels 25th Anniversary

Staff Writer

Triple M Sydney Program Director Jamie Angel has celebrated 25 years at Southern Cross Austereo.

Jamie started on air at 2NZ Inverell, before moving to FM104.7 Canberra. He worked on air at several Austereo stations before pursuing a career in programming.

SCA Group Content Director Craig Bruce said “Jamie’s the best music announcer I've heard. I was always amazed at how easy he made it sound. Also the best creative script writer I've worked with. His humour is so dry and always pitch perfect. In fact Jamie would be the most natural radio thinker I've worked with, nothing about radio is complicated, it just all makes sense to him. Ripping bloke. Great friend. No fashion sense “

Jamie was surprised with a party and presentation at Triple M this week to mark his 25 years.

Head of SCA Metro Guy Dobson said “Jamie shows amazing potential. With a little more hard work I’m sure some day that potential will be realised and he might become a great content director”

Brad March was Jamie’s Program Director at FM104.7, B105 and 2DAYFM. Brad said “Jamie sent an aircheck to me at FM104.7 whilst he was in regional radio, when I first heard him you could tell he was a standout, a real natural. Jamie’s very strong on air, one of the great announcers, and I’m pleased to see him doing great things as Triple M’s Content Director now”

The team at Radio Today congratulates Jamie on 25 years.
