Legendary US jock Howard Stern has announced his retirement from radio.

RadarOnline reports that Stern revealed that he will end his career, which has spanned 35 years after his current contract ends in 2020.

“When I get out of radio. I’m getting out man. I’m pretty sure I’m almost out the door,” he said.

“I’m getting out anyway because I realize that radio is affecting my health. When I’m home on the weekends I’m fine.”

“And then what happens?” responded co-host Robin Quivers.

“And then when I come here all kinds of s**t happens. I won’t get into all the details, but I get all f**king anxious, and medical issues. I’m getting out,” Stern said.

“No really, I’m done. Two years and I’m out of here.”

The Howard Stern Show has been broadcast since 1986 and became exclusive to Sirius XM in 2006.

You owe it to the credibility of this site to point out that Howard made the comments jokingly, this isn’t actually happening. He and his crew were laughing the entire way through the mock announcement and playing sound grabs from last week’s ‘Fist Fest’ report. You ought to listen to the audio yourself, you’ll clearly see that Radar Online took the grabs out of context. I think it’s important to set the record straight, lest anyone think there’s even a skerrick of truth to this.

Howard talked about retiring on the March 5 show as well. You know, the one where Richard Christie got nude and tried to identify various wines with his butthole. I wouldn’t consider his recent comments as an “announcement”. This looks like a copy & paste to me (Radar Online, Loudwire, Inquisitr).

Could be ‘no-one’ listens anymore….i don’t know one person who does and 10 years ago i knew 20…

He is no longer a man of the people but instead a zionest promoting an agenda..

Yeah, the next morning Howard about 99% backtracked what he said the previous day. Halfway thru his current contract he’s posturing for asking for more money next time. Happens every 5 years.

Right! I would recommend against re-reporting what you read on Radar – maybe investigate and do your own reporting instead maybe? #lazymedia
