Hit106.9’s ‘Bali Blind Dates’ wrap-up

Staff Writer

Nick, Jess and Simon took Hit106.9 Breakfast abroad last week, with the show airing from sunny Bali for their ‘Bali Blind Dates’ competition.

For the contest, six lucky singles were paired up by the Newcastle Brekky team and met for the first time when they boarded the plane to Bali.

The selection process involved online application, on-air trials and social media stalking.

Eventually, Josh (the Larrikin) was paired with Alicia (the Girl Next Door), Brock (Mr Picky)  was paired with Olympia (the Greek Goddess),
Matt (the Hippie) was paired with Hannah (the Fit Chick).

During the holiday, the couple went on both group and one-on-one dates, exploring rice fields, waterfalls, traditional
cuisine and pottery classes.

As it happened, none of the couples successfully matched, and one couple even secretly swapped partners before the dates had even started…

The whole experience was wrapped up at the end of the week, with the final verdict revealed.

This show is kicking huge goals and putting out entertaining and compelling content, consistently.

Watch this space!

Excited to see where this show ends up. SCA must be very happy with themselves having a show of this quality in the wings to move up the ranks when they need them.

in a market with zero competition for sca you would be expecting big numbers? been under performing for a long time. Talking it up is a bit like Richmond beating Carlton. Way too early to talk it up
