Hit Network lands exclusive Katy Perry performance

Staff Writer

Katy Perry is set to perform live for a one-off exclusive event hosted by Hamish and Andy across the Hit Network on Friday 30 June in Sydney.

It’s been six years since she last hit the roof and no other station will get fans up close and in the flesh with Katy performing tracks from her new album Witness live.

With Witness, Katy reflects on the changes in her own life and in the world around her, delivering songs that both challenge and inspire – including the Platinum-certified “Chained To The Rhythm”, its follow-up “Bon Appetit” featuring Migos and the track “Swish Swish” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Earlier this week she performed at the ONE LOVE Manchester charity concert on Sunday night UK time alongside Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Coldplay and more.

Katy recently joined James Corden for Carpool Karaoke, performed on “Saturday Night Live”, and graced the stage at the Grammys, Brit Awards and iHeart Radio Awards.

In Australia, Katy has enjoyed 4 x No. 1 singles and 12 x top 5 singles. Her singles have achieved 60 x Platinum status in Australia, with an additional 2 x Gold singles, with “Chained To The Rhythm” already platinum.

With the singles “Firework” and “Dark Horse” each surpassing the 10 million threshold including song sales and streams, Katy is the first female artist to earn two RIAA Digital Single Diamond Awards.

In her 10 years with Capitol Records/EMI Music, she has racked up a cumulative 18+ billion streams alongside worldwide sales of more than 40+ million adjusted albums and 125+ million tracks. She is the most-followed person globally on Twitter.

Oh man, here we go again. SCA vs Nova and their “Who has the better experience”. Come on, it’s a little tedious guys.

Blah blah blah you’ve both got your advantages and that’s why you win some and lose some.

I reckon I could come up with 5 names and figure out who Marcus, PJC and TheT are. It’s great to see you are so passionate about your brands (or your ego), but in the interest of the industry as a whole, how about you just leave your comments to yourself?

(And no, I don’t work at ARN)
