Heard of Milk Radio?

Staff Writer

The space is a crowded one – take your pick of Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, the list goes on and on. But when you are the hardware provider, then do you have an advantage?

Giant Samsung kicked off Milk Music Radio app in the USA back in March and last week they went outside the US borders, launching Milk Radio to Korea. In just 6 days it is reported they have clocked up 500k of app downloads and now tops the charts in Google play.

Milk Music gives free streaming access to 3.6 million songs and only works on Samsung smartphones using Android 4.0 or later. It is backboned by Slacker, which is a player out of the US and owned these days by yahoo.

Like most others in the space, you can customise or personalise your experience by fine tuning how you want the stream to play out. If you have multiple Samsung devices – no matter where you’re logged in, on your phone or tablet, your listening history and preferences come with you.

No word yet when it will land here.
