Graham Mott retires. Respect.

Staff Writer

Highly respected radio veteran, Graham Mott, has now formally stepped down from the Fairfax Radio Network. In a note to the groups staff on his final day, he said:

"Life is about enjoying the things you do and I hope, in amongst the hard work, you've been able to share a laugh or two. I intend to take a break and try to improve my fitness because I need to be in better shape in order to assist my recovery.

Thank you or your support, particularly during my battle with health – having people care about you when you're sick is very comforting and greatly assists in the recovery. My time working in radio over the past 43 years has been fantastic and I've learned so much and I'm truly grateful for the experience."

Graham has been an influential person in the Australian radio landscape for many years. He has had a particularly challenging last year or two fighting his battle with cancer, and dealing with the now-ended sale process of the Fairfax Radio assets.
