Former Nova Client Director heads up DMD
Mark Shaw has been appointed as CEO of Digital Music Distribution, a joint venture between Sony Music and Universal Music.
Shaw left Sensis Digital Media last year in a major cleanout at that business, and was the foundation Client Director for Nova 969 when DMG launched the station.
DMD have a streaming service called Songl which plans to take on Spotify and Rdio in that space.
George Ash, President of Universal Music Australasia commented “We are very excited to have Mark join the team at DMD. He is an exceptional individual who will ensure that DMD’s services, including Songl, continue to connect with music fans everywhere.
His appointment continues the exciting growth of DMD in Australia and New Zealand.”
