Fitzy & Wippa producer Tommy Ivey takes flight at Red Bull Flugtag

Nova 96.9‘s Breakfast team participated in the Red Bull Flugtag on Saturday. Or to be more accurate, producer Tom Ivey took flight on a mighty Bin Chook.

The Flugtag brings entrants from all around the country, to see who can fly the furthest off a platform on Sydney harbour in their home-made flying contraptions.

The team built a contraption based on the common Ibis – aka the Bin Chook, using a real bin, and Tom was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to be pilot.

Fitzy and Wippa, and Sarah, gave Tom a run up and push before he glided gracefully into the sky – or not.
