Family FM eat and they vote

In a nice bit of PR for the station, Brisbane's 96.5 Family FM have gained some welcome publicity for a peaceful protest led by Breakfast Announcer Liam Renton.

The protest is against the planned closure of a cafe in Aspley in Brisbane's northern suburbs due to the demolition of the local supermarket.

Renton organised the protest after staff told him the business would close to make way for a new Coles "It's the last in-store cafe" he commented.

Without for a moment suggesting that the motives for the protest are anything but altruistic, the publicity for the radio station is terrific. Check out the video of the how it went:
