Dan Anstey recalls “disaster” first on-air shift covering Smallzy’s on Nova Brisbane Nights

Dan Anstey is the latest guest on Daniel Gawned‘s The Radio Randomly Podcast, with the episode covering Dan’s radio journey from panel operator to radio host and television personality.

This week Gawndy releases a chat he had with Dan over a year ago just after he had started on Sea FM Gold Coast Breakfast.

Dan’s career has spanned over a decade, beginning with Nova 106.9 Brisbane‘s street team, hosting Breakfast on the same network, anchoring Hughesy and Kate before they left Nova, and co-hosting Fox FM Breakfast with Fifi Box.

He recalls the great and not-so-great moments of his career to date, and recalls the fear he felt when asked to fill on for Smallzy on Brisbane Nights on Nova before the timeslot went National; an experience he calls a “terrifying” and “a disaster”.
