Controversial Kyle & Jackie O abuse segment

This morning, Kyle and Jackie O invited listeners to abuse them.

In their controversial segment called Social Meanies, the Kiis breakfast team asked for insults, both on air and online.

Have a look at how they sold the idea on their Facebook:

A Kiis spokesperson said the on air team wanted to show listeners how insignificant trolls’ comments were and added “it really is irrelevant what others think, write or say about you.”

But, judging by comments on the Kyle & Jackie O Facebook page, not everyone agreed this is an anti-bullying campaign.
