Breakfast moves in major regional

ACRA winners Ben Erbsland (Best Station Promotion) and Kristie Mercer (Best Networked Program) are the new breakfast show at Star FM in Albury.

Ben (right) moves from Hot FM Mackay (Ben & Courtney) while Kristie (also pictured – more about her here) comes from TRFM in Gippsland.

‘Ben and Kristie’ replace Heath and Normy who have moved to NXFM. Brad March listed Ben in 'The Next Generation' FM radio's Top 20 hot new talent, see here.

With Tegan Phillpot finishing up at Zinc Mackay to take up a role at a local advertising agency, that’s two of the four breakfast shows in that market that will be changing.

Best Newcomer On-Air ACRA winner, Nick Gill (left), from Hot FM breakfast in Cairns is heading a bit further south….to Hobart….and will do breakfast on Sea FM with Esther ‘Woody’ Woodlands. They replace the Matt & LC show.

Gina Hogan, GM of SCA in Cairns says…

“We’re absolutely wrapped for him to be given the opportunity to move to a bigger market and progress his career. He was a fantastic talent to have in Cairns and will be a star of the future. We hope to announce a replacement for Nick in the coming days”.

No replacements have been announced yet for Hot FM Mackay.
