Brad McNally gone from 96FM

Staff Writer

96FM Content Director Brad McNally’s position has been made redundant.

ARN confirmed his departure after close to a five year stint. In a statement to Radio Today, a spokesperson said:

“As part of our broader strategy to build on the existing success of 96FM we have reviewed the content structure, with a view to providing each of the individual areas within the local content team greater responsibility.

“This has meant that the position of Content Director has been made redundant and Brad McNally has left 96FM.”

“We wish Brad all the best and thank him for his contribution to the success of 96FM.”

ARN advised that a new content structure will be announced soon.

Brad McNally has worked at 96FM a couple of times as CD. In 2008 he resigned after a blue with then GM Declan Kelly over his decision to can the new breakfast team Rod and the Flak after just seven weeks on air. Brad returned as CD in 2010.

With ARN acquiring 96FM Fairfax recently, 96FM has been brought under the KIIS Network umbrella which has also seen both Hughesy & Kate and Kyle & Jackie O being introduced to the rock formatted station.

Brad has worked in other markets in Australia including 92.9, Gold FM, and stations in Toronto, the UK and across Europe.
