Another radio station helps out

SEA FM's Paul Gale loves helping those in need on the Gold Coast.

Today he has been on a 13 hour wheelbarrow walk to raise money for a local family, 3 of whom have been struck with cancer.

Galey started at 6 o'clock this morning from Broadbeach, will cover the coast and finish back where he started from just before 7 o'clock tonight.

SCA Gold Coast General Manager, Paul Bartlett, says…

"It was fantastic today to be able to raise over $80,000 in cash and goods for this deserving family. Their story touched the hearts of our listeners and clients and they have all responded beyond expectation. A massive effort from Galey to walk the Gold Coast for 13 hours pushing a wheelbarrow, supported by Baggs and Charli who stayed on air for the duration. Really proud to see that our radio station through our listeners can have such a quick and positive impact on lives that are struggling to cope with a terrible situation."

Word is the money raised will go above $90,000 by the time Galey finishes the 13 hours.
