Amber & Billows celebrate 1,000 shows together, but the end is nigh

Hit99.5 Sunraysia’s Breakfast team celebrated 1,000 shows together this morning, so it came as a shock when Amber made a big announcement.

She told her co-host Billows and the listeners that she’s set to depart the station, and will be moving to Triple M Bundaberg after 4 and a half years.

Next Wednesday will be the last edition of Amber and Billows.

“It’s bittersweet because I’m sad I’m losing my friend who’s moving away. my work wife is leaving me,” said Billows on air.

“But she’s going on to better things,” he continued, as Amber started to tear up. “I could not be prouder of the fact that you’ve been snapped up by a bigger market.”

“I am looking forward to some warmer weather,” said Amber. “I will still have a few more days with you Sunraysia.”
