AFTRS launch Show Radio for 2013

Staff Writer

Every year the Australian Film Television and Radio School broadcasts live from the Sydney Royal Easter show.

It's an opportunity for the radio students to learn from the experience of live broadcasting in front of the public. The broadcast will be on 107.9 FM in Sydney from today.

Show Radio will be run by all 18 students, filling all roles including presenting, producing and reporting.

AFTRS Director Radio, Mark Collier, says:

“We have been enormously impressed by the quality of the students’ trial broadcasts in the run up to the Show … it’s been less than four weeks since the school year began due to the Show’s early start this year, but without exception, they have risen to the occasion and their strong potential is already shining through.”
