ACE Radio Network’s Kate Meade named in 100 Women of Influence
ACE Radio Network‘s Kate Meade has been named in the 2018 Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence.
The Morning Rush Breakfast co-host was named on the list, which features women working across a spectrum of industries, all of whom demonstrate a strong sense of commitment to a cause.
Meade, whose Breakfast show with John Vertigan features on ACE Radio stations 3YBFM, 3SH, 3CS, 3HA, GOLD1242, 2QN, 3NE & 3WM, was named in the local and regional category.
“Kate hosts our network breakfast program The Morning Rush with Jon Vertigan. Within this role she is a voice of leadership, strength, comfort and relatability for regional women, said ACE Radio CEO Mark Taylor.
“Her service to both the community and the Australian Dance Industry cannot be understated. We are incredibly proud of her and her achievements and we are thrilled to see the radio industry represented at this level.”
“To be named on this list amongst such a high calibre of women is truly gratifying,” said Kate.
“I would like to thank ACE Radio for their support. ACE Radio is a proud family company of which it is a privilege to belong.
“It is also a progressive company that provides equal opportunity and access to learning and development for all staff. This is something I am very proud of. It is this which has created a work environment for any gender to progress.
“It’s not just about finding pathways for women but about the culture of support that ACE Radio has allowed to flourish. I am grateful to, and inspired by, my mentors within the company – Cathy Jubb, Lois Chislett, Jon Vertigan and Mat Cummins – and I am thankful daily for the opportunity to create great radio.”
Meade is also nominated for two ACRAs for Best On-Air Team and Best Networked Program.
The overall winner, and winners of the 10 categories of the 100 Women of Influence, will be announced on October 17.
