92.5 GOLD FM’s Spida opens his mind in Sudan

Staff Writer

GOLD FM Breakfast host Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt was recently invited by SBS to head to an unknown country, to open his mind about people seeking refuge in Australia.

Spida, who is known for his strong views on refugees, was thrown into Sudan.

War, violence, poverty and drought have displaced over 3 million people who seek asylum in places like Australia.

While in Africa, Spida learned from families about their hardships, helped with a food aid drop, heard stories of rape and violence and entertained the local children.

Catch up on Spida’s three-part experience here.
