2ser launches new political program ‘The Middle’
A new program launched on 2ser 107.3 this week explores the complex and changing dynamics between two world powers China and America, and their relationship with Australia.
The Middle will be hosted by UTS professors Peter Fray and Wanning Sun and is set to go beyond the daily news headlines as it seeks to understand the complex issues related to race relations, security and defence, politics, trade, education and the arts.
The new show will also look at the changing nature of Australia’s relationship with China and the impact of the current debate about Chinese influence in Australia and the region.
The Middle will air on 2ser and also be published as a podcast and a Mandarin-subtitled vodcast.
“The show will seek to encourage constructive debate about a raft of issues that swirl around our relationship with the Middle Kingdom, both locally and globally,” said Fray.
Sun says the show “seeks to explore a middle path that may be productive for all concerned.”
“This new program is an important addition to the 2ser schedule that will explore important national and international issues, in keeping with 2ser’s record of producing quality thoughtful programming,” said 2ser PD Anthony Dockrill.
The Middle is produced by Amy Ma, with the first show kicking off T,uesday November 6 at 7:30pm.
