2Day vs KIIS: the next chapter

2Day FM in Sydney has what they call their '2DayVIP' list; which essentially is a group of hard-core P1's who have their own 'closed' Facebook group. All stations have a version of this of one kind or another.

So it does seem unusual that these listeners appear to be receiving phone calls from the new KIIS 1065?

Obviously a coincidence. Has to be.

Speaking to News Limited, an ARN spokesman denied any knowledge of the 2DayVIP list, saying:

"Kiis 1065 don't have access to any 2Day VIP Facebook list. Kyle & Jackie O's show takes up to 1000 calls each morning from passionate listeners and we keep some of those callers' details to reward the big fans who want to keep communicating with Kyle & Jackie on air".

So that settles it then. Obviously completely coincidental.
