1629 SEN launches in South Australia

Former Assistant Editor

SEN SA is up-and-running on 1629 AM in South Australia.

This morning saw new Breakfast team Kane Cornes and Andrew Hayes take to the airwaves, with their inaugural show broadcasting live from the Adelaide Oval.

An outside broadcast was a fitting way to launch the station ahead of this morning’s first cricket test against India, with guests including Gerard Whately, Simon Katich and Adelaide Oval ground curator Damian Hough.

Sen SA also posted an early clip of its first broadcast morning:

Less polished than most community stations… 2 mins of dead air this morning before going into cricket broadcast.
Not sure how they got a commercial licence?!?!?

Great to see Kane’s friendship group all there for the OB.
No expense spared for the launch.
