Troy Ellis: A New Beginning

Former Gold 104.3 breakfast show host Troy Ellis has opened a new chapter in his career. After a turbulent few months, the popular presenter is about to start at NOVA Entertainment.

Ellis made the switch to ARN with ‘Jo and Lehmo‘ in 2016, but was left in limbo after the Breakfast duo was shown the door late last year.

The decision took everyone by surprise especially as they’d tasted ratings success in Survey 7, taking the show to number one FM.

With Jo and Lehmo out of the picture and replacement Christian O’Connell yet to leave London for Melbourne, there was industry expectation Ellis would stay on as the temporary host.

That was until NOVA Entertainment offered him a role with the network.  He joins NOVA and smooth as a ‘floater’ across both stations.

It’s a job he takes up today and he admits to being excited to walk through the doors.

“I got my first roster, so it’s all very real now.  All that’s left is to work out where to park, how to get into the building and remember the name of my new boss”.

“I’m super excited to be on air at NOVA and smooth soon. I’ve had to learn to be patient and it’s been a bit of a struggle because I can’t wait to start”.
