Triple M’s Hot Breakfast serves up their best bits for 2017

Staff Writer

Triple M’s Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire has always been a show to make headlines, and this year was no difference thanks to the departure of Mick Molloy.

But looking back on the year that was, the team provided listeners with more entertaining and relatable segments than ever before.

From Mick joining Instagram and Eddie’s dad jokes, through to Luke Darcy claiming that he is a chess master, there were plenty of laughs throughout the year.

Of course footy was a hot topic, with Mick once again backing his beloved Tigers for the premiership – only this year he was right!

Mick also spent the better half of the year tackling the big issues, from the French to Triple M management, before announcing he would be joining Jane Kennedy on their new Drive show.

This left the breakfast team to welcoming Wil Anderson at the end of October, and as they say, the rest is history.

Well, not really… Wil revealed his first car was a secondhand white Barina, and the boys questioned talking up how blokey they are.

So what do listeners have to look forward to in 2018?

Eddie’s campaign for PM might get going, Darc will still be looking for his iPad, Wil might try to revive his rap career and Rosie will keep being dirty.

See you when you’re back on air next year Hot Breakfast team! Listen to the end of year montage in full below.
