Triple j to broadcast Laneway Adelaide, Ben & Liam to MC

triple j will broadcast the Adelaide leg of the national Laneway festival on February 2.

There’ll be sets and interviews from a bill that includes Amy Shark, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Mac DeMarco, ODESZA, Wolf Alice and Billie Eilish.

Ollie Wards, triple j Content Director, says: “We love bringing the best live music to triple j listeners wherever they are in Australia.

“There’s no better way to do that than plug straight into the main stage at Laneway and take people to the front row in Adelaide.”

The broadcaster’s breakfast team Ben and Liam return to their original hometown to take on MC duties at the show, taking on the role from A.B. Original from last year.

Liam said, “Hailing from Adelaide, the home of the Hilltop Hoods, it’s always been a dream of ours to be bad ass emcees and play a huge home town show.

“Although we won’t necessarily be rapping. We’ll just be telling ya to put sunscreen on and that. We’re still amped!”

Laneway this morning also announced that the Spinning Top stage would return for a second year.

The Perth based label and management company will be presenting acts including Slowdive, POND, Father John Misty, Aldous Harding and Alex Cameron.

ICYMI, the Future Classic stage will feature sets from BADBADNOTGOOD, TOKiMONSTA, Loyle Carner, Moses Sumney and Miss Blanks.
