Townsville’s Steve Price telethon-ing with Nine

Townsville breakfast king Steve ‘Pricey’ Price is lending his support to have very important cause with the 102.3 Triple M (formerly 4TO) identity joining the Channel Nine 2018 telethon.

The annual fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital Foundation takes places this Saturday night.  Funds raised will not only buy life-saving equipment for some of sick kids, but also research and patient and family support services.

To get a feel for things, Pricey has dropped in on Townsville’s Telstra Contact Centre where calls for donations will be taken on the night. He says he’s looking forward to the telethon.

It’s always a privilege to be part of anything that aids our future, which is of course the children,” he tells Radio Today.

“To see their entire Queensland community coming together for hospitals around the state is inspiring.

“It is an honour to be involved with Channel Nine, Triple M and the Telstra family supporting those families with children across the North.”

Now in it’s fifth year, the telethon has raised more than $46 million dollars for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Last year’s total came in a $12, 230, 565.

Hosted by Melissa Downes and Andrew Lofthouse with appearances by Nine identities Karl Stefanovic, Sonia Kruger and Shelley Craft, the 2028 Nine Telethon kicks off from 7pm.
