Sunraysia’s New RIVER1467

Staff Writer

Grant Broadcasters has re-branded EasyMix 1467 to RIVER1467. Over the decades the old 3MA has had a number formats and names, but today it entered a new era.

Content Director ed Guinea said “We want to show how much we are committed to being part of the local community and what better way to do that than our new name.

“RIVER1467 is fitting given we are an important part of the Sunraysia region’s heritage and landscape… just like the Murray and Darling”.

RIVER1467 features the same On-Air line-up with Ted Guinea for breakfast, Paul Taylor for lunch and Daniel Brewer for drive, add to that list Neil Mitchell for mornings, Tony Leonard and Terry Wallace with Sportsday weeknights along with AFL Live and a strong local news service.

Grant Broadcasters Regional Manager for Victoria & South Australia Peter Upton said: “We have owned this station since 2007 and while Easymix 1467’s name has served us well, it doesn’t really reflect where the station is positioned musically. We are proud to be producing quality locally focussed programmes right here in Sunraysia and we believe the name RIVER1467 represents better what we stand for”.
