Social Scorecard: Radio’s top social posts feat. Kyle & Jackie O, Fitzy & Wippa and Amos, Cat & Angus

This week’s top picks for social media content come from KIIS Sydney, Nova Sydney and Hit Adelaide.

1. KIIS Sydney’s Kyle and Jackie O: “When you’re running late for work”

Tapping into cultural references to trigger humour always works well. Especially since the average user is clocking up over 100 minutes a day on social platforms – they’re usually on the lookout for this style of content to look at. This was a great bite-sized video that illustrates Jackie human side and that the team aren’t afraid to have fun.

2. Nova Sydney’s Fitzy & Wippa: “When you nearly miss your LIVE RADIO SHOW cos you’re taking a photo of a rainbow”

Behind the scenes content works a treat with your audience and as you can see it doesn’t have to be all about product pushing and show promo. Featuring content such as this snippet makes the hosts relatable. It triggers trust and generates interest in the show; it’s about getting creative to keep followers engrossed enough that it sparks engagement. Love that this has been repurposed content – demonstrates that even the simplest moments make great posts.

3. Hit Adelaide’s Amos, Cat & Angus: “Angus has taken his Adelaide Cup training to the NEXT LEVEL”

This story arc sounded ridiculous at the time, but viewers are engaged by the fact that they can witness the physical exertion of someone who they’re only used to hearing – and that’s where the magic of social media lies! While a longer form video, the pace of the clip sets the tone for just how physically fit Angus is. Very brave thing for a personality to do, and content that has helped build anticipation around “the race that stops the station”.
