Social Scorecard: radio’s top social posts this week

Staff Writer

From a classic stitch-up to the socially awkward, radio this week delivered some solid content by both commercial and regional stations.

Special mention goes to Canberra’s Hit 104.7. Not only for their ‘Spitters are Quitters’ stunt, but their Facebook Live stream, as they visited one listener’s home to award her $25,000.

Here are the week’s top three social posts from stations and talent:

1. Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa: ‘Rap Up of the Week’ featuring Human Nature

Producer: Sean Bell

Fitzy and Wippa’s reoccurring brekky segment saw special guests, Aussie vocal legends Human Nature, smash Fitzy in a rap battle – Complete with an all round studio ‘dab’.

2. KIIS 106.5’s Kyle and Jackie O: Space Invaders

Producer: Tom Armstrong

Jackie O takes an invasion of personal space to the next level on the streets of Sydney:

3. Hit 104.7’s Ryan and Tanya: Spitters are Quitters

Producer: Matt Heap

Part unhygienic, part hilarious. As the saying goes, ‘If you spit it, you quit it!’:
