SCA’s 2018 Give Me 5 fundraiser garners $3.6m in donations

Now in its 24th year, Southern Cross Austereo‘s annual Give Me 5 for Kids appeal has collected a recording breaking $3,625,037 in donations.

The massive number is a result of individuals and community groups from across SCA’s 38 regional radio markets hosting various events under the Give Me 5 for Kids banner with all funds going towards pediatric wards and children’s health organisations throughout regional Australia.

“We are extremely proud of this year’s result and would like to thank our dedicated staff and local communities who manage to make each year even better than the last,” SCA’s chief operating officer John Kelly said.

“Money raised will enable local health organisations to purchase vital equipment and improve infrastructure, having a big impact on sick kids and their families”.

Including this year’s effort, the campaign has raised $25.9 million since its debut in 1994.
