Power FM Ballarat’s Sarah ‘D’ Demicoli has used Instagram to drop a career bombshell on her listeners.

After ten years in radio, Democoli has decided to ‘hang up the headphones’ for good and has announced she’s taking up a Government job with the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

Sarah recently returned to Power FM to fill in for the brekkie show, after last year giving birth to her first child; something she referenced in her Insta post.

Being a full-time mummy has been *the best*, but in a week, it'll be somewhat back to the reality of the ol'days. I say somewhat, because after two weeks of filling in for the Brekkie Show on Power FM, I'll be "hanging up my headphones" after ten years in radio, and starting my new role with the State Government's DEWLP! #excitedbutnervous #mumlyf #whoneedsanalarmwhenyouhaveababy

Prior to going on mat-leave, Sarah hosted Grant Broadcasters’ music program “Oz Made”, while also working as the daytime announcer.

Former Triple M announcer Dave ‘Higgo’ Higgins has been filling in from 10am-2pm.  There’s no word yet whether that might become permanent.
