Rob Aumend departs SCA Townsville

Southern Cross Austereo Townsville’s general manager of four years Rob Aumend has decided to leave the company.

Rob departs with a view to running his own business.

“I’ve watched and helped so many local businesses over my media career at SCA, and with my youngest child now completing school I felt like the time was right to use my experience to build my own business,” he said.

“SCA has been an incredible company to work for allowing me to build a great network in Townsville due to the company having such an emphasis on supporting the local community.

“I’m going to miss my amazing team but I know SCA will continue to support and promote Townsville more than ever.”

SCA Queensland executive GM Damon Rielly thanked Rob for his service.

“Rob has done an outstanding job and has really entrenched our local brands with the local community,” he said.

“My goal is to find the very best person to take over as SCA Townsville’s General Manager and continue to build on Rob’s legacy of supporting and promoting the Townsville community.

“I would like to personally thank Rob and wish him all the best for his future venture.”

SCA Townsville is commencing a search for a new GM immediately.

Rob will finish up on Friday April 5.
