RNB Fridays extends to wineries for RNB Vine Days, lineup includes Boyz II Men and TLC

With the colossal RNB Fridays Live wrapping up after a second successful year of multiple sold out shows, leaving fans and critics thrilled, Illusive Presents, Frontier Touring, a day on the green and the Hit Network have joined forces to keep the party going in 2018 with the reveal of the first ever RNB Vine Days.

A series of special Vine Days winery shows will kick off in February next year at the Hunter Valley’s Bimbadgen, Mt Cotton’s Sirromet Wines and the Yarra Valley’s Rochford Wines. The concert series will showcase Australia’s stunning wine regions at a day on the green venues and host some of the biggest names in contemporary RNB – Boyz II Men and TLC will lead the charge for the summer shows alongside Jamaican-American dancehall maestro Shaggy, DJ Horizon and YO! MAFIA.

Ensuring all fans can get their RNB fix, TLC and Boyz II Men will also perform three indoor co-headline shows in Christchurch, Sydney and Canberra, while Boyz II Men will also treat Auckland fans to a one-off headline show.

Leading the charge for RNB Vine Days is one of the music industry’s most elite and truly iconic R&B groups Boyz II Men. Over the past two decades Boyz II Men have given fans a rich catalogue of hits filled with smooth harmonies and enduring themes. The trio’s four Grammy Awards are just the tip of the iceberg: throughout their 25-year career, Boyz II Men have numerous prestigious accolades to their name including nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards and three Billboard Music Awards.

Boyz II Men have won fans the world over with their soulful multi-octave sound and incredible vocals from mega hits like ‘End Of The Road’, ‘I’ll Make Love To You’ and ‘One Sweet Day (feat. Mariah Carey)’ plus smooth tunes from recent release Under The Streetlight (out now through Universal Music) like ‘Ladies Man’ and ‘Stay’.

One of history’s most influential female hip-hop and R&B acts TLC will be returning Down Under next February. These three empowered women, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, captured the world’s attention with their sassy and sophisticated R&B set against a socially conscious lyrical style. Tragically in 2002, Lopes was killed in a car accident. Refusing to call it quits in honour of their fallen sister T-Boz and Chilli have since continued to tour worldwide.

Selling 65 million records worldwide with five Grammy Awards under their belt, TLC remain a force to be reckoned with. Releasing their first album in 15 years in June (through Liberator Music) they produced hits ‘Haters’ and ‘Way Back (feat. Snoop Dogg)’ that follow the same CrazySexyCool style of anthems ‘No Scrubs’, ‘Waterfalls’ and ‘Unpretty’.

Dancehall reggae’s biggest hit-maker Shaggy will be keeping fans groovin’ this summer at RNB Vine Days. Capturing attention with his remake of ‘Oh Carolina’, Shaggy’s trademark baritone elevated the Reggae Revival through strong story-telling in songwriting. Don’t miss Shaggy performing his inescapable dance floor jams like ‘Mr Boombastic’, ‘It Wasn’t Me (feat. Rikork)’, ‘Angel (feat. Rayvon)’ and ‘Hey Sexy Lady (feat. Brian & Tony Gold)’ this February.

No RNB event would be complete without Australia’s #1 RNB DJ, DJ Horizon. Spinning all the biggest hip hop and RNB jams, DJ Horizon will keep the party pumping between performances before taking over the stage for an entire hour of party anthems.

YO! MAFIA aka ‘The International Party DJ’ will also be hitting the decks next February for RNB Vine Days. Solidified as one of Australia’s premier party DJs, YO! MAFIA’s signature genre-smashing shows have seen her tour and support A-List artists such as Missy Elliot, Salt ’n’ Pepa, Pharrell Williams and Iggy Azalea just to name a few!

No outdoor show is complete without a drop of wine and delicious food! On top of all the delectable food on offer, RNB Vine Days is thrilled to reveal Schnitz as an official sponsor for all winery shows. Bringing the old-age culinary tradition of schnitzel to modern-day tastebuds through fresh ingredients, a healthier pan-cooking technique and a delicious, crunchy crumb, these connoisseurs are bound to make even the most seasoned schnitzel pro swoon!

With some of the hottest names in contemporary RNB on one stage, fans are encouraged to act quickly in snapping up their tickets to RNB Vine Days. Tickets start from $119.90 with several General Admission options available – tickets on sale from Friday 24 November.
