Off the back of the metro market ratings earlier in the week, Shepparton’s first Survey results of the year has been released, and Southern Cross Austereo continues to flex in regional markets with a big win.

The survey is the first in the region since June 2016, and first since local Triple M and Hit stations rebranded.

Hit96.9 Goulburn Valley claimed victory with 21.6% of the market despite big losses (-10.6) in the survey period.

Triple M made a small gain, but couldn’t overcome stablemates Hit, finishing with 21.4% (+1.2).

ABC Shepparton finished with 10.9% (-4.6) while triple j made gains in the region, climbing to 7.5% share (+2.4).

Shepparton’s local stations serve an audience of approximately 170,000 people, and 1,000 were surveyed by Xtra Isights for these ratings.

The ratings period was 7-26 May 2018.

The region is the third regional survey to be released in 2018 after Geraldton, and Mackay.

Hit Goulburn Valley’s new Breakfast team Elly and Josiah start their new show from June 21.
