Radio Dad’s are in OK!

3 high profile FM radio Dad's are being featured in OK! Magazine for Father's Day.

Nova 100's Hughesy, Nova 969's Fitzy and Triple M's Merrick Watts talk about being a Dad and the relationship they have with their kids.

Hughesy

As a Dad to 3 year old Rafferty and 16 month old Sadie (plus another on the way), do they think he's funny ?

"Not as funny as Spongebob Squarepants, my son is a massive fan. I'll often catch him laughing, and he'll go "I'm thinking about Spongebob", Spongebob is his hero"

How is he celebrating today ?

"My wife will sort out some presents and probably pancakes, I love pancakes"

Fitzy

Hewston is his 3 year old son. Fitzy is his 35 year old toy.

"He likes to use me as Joker when he dresses up as Batman. I'm becoming more of a playmate now my little fella's turned three – our relationship is magnificent ! He's a show-off like his Dad."

What are Fitzy, wife BJ and Hewie doing today ?

"Hewston's become a daredevil on his scooter so we'll take him to the park, take a picnic basket, have some lunch, take the dog and spend the time together. I'm really looking forward to it."

Merrick

He has a 3 year old, Wolfie, and 8 month old, Kinga (pictured).

What sort of Dad is Merrick ?

"I'm a very loving father…..I would rather go out and do stuff with my kids than try and get time to myself. I love 'em. They do funny things – they pick up things and eat them when they're not meant to – it's funny, you can't help but laugh"

What is he up to for Father's Day ?

"Probably drinking at the pub with my mates, ignoring my family – that's the plan so far. No….Father's Day, I love it ! it's very dear to me, so I will probably have a family day."
