Pick a Side: Team You vs. Team (partner)

The goal for personalities is to interject your personalities into content.

One way to do this is offering diverse perspectives on topics.

We don’t do this to create controversy, but add friction to conversations. This allows listeners to get to know the players (characters) on the show, and give them something to respond to. They can pick a side.

So make it easy. Here’s a great tactic that accomplishes all of the above, AND makes it easier for them to know how to respond:

Instead of simply inviting a response, explain two distinct points of view and ask listeners to respond by being on Team (name) or Team (name).

This simple tactic gives you a reason to say your names, position your personalities, and it’s really easy for the audience to respond. They don’t have to work as hard to know how to play along.
