Peter Overton & Jessica Rowe hosting the Ray Hadley Country Music Countdown

TV personalities/husband-wife duo Peter Overton and Jessica Rowe are taking the reins of the Ray Hadley Country Music Countdown this Saturday.

The countdown airs on 2GB, 4BC and across 200 other markets on AM, FM and digital.

Ray’s good mate Peter has done a news piece on Ray’s show for the last five years, and the idea to fill in for him during the survey break came back in August.

Peter asked if he could guest host the countdown in the future.

“He might be the number one man for news, but he’s a devoted listener alongside his wife Jessica to the Continuous Call Team, but more importantly to the Country Music Countdown,” said Ray.

The news was revealed on John Stanley‘s show, who was originally pegged for the role.

Hadley’s countdown is drawn from The Music Network‘s country airplay chart, which is compiled using the spins from Australia’s leading country music radio stations.
