NZ Radio Awards announce 2018 entry dates, changes to award categories

Entries for the 2018 NZ Radio Awards will open on Monday January 22, 2018.

Entrants will need to register as a user at the official website before submitting their entry, with entries closing Monday March 5.

There are also some changes to the award categories this year.

A new category – Best Podcast – has been added to the Best Content section, and will recognise “excellence in a podcast series on any audio platform.”

Organisers have also made changes to the Sales Team of the Year category, making it one singular category to recognise the best sales team across network, regional and provincial.

“Next year we will be celebrating 40 years of Radio Awards in New Zealand and the RBA is very pleased to have Radio New Zealand re-join the awards so the entire NZ radio industry will be celebrating its great work,” said Radio Industry Awards Committee chairman Jana Rangooni.

The finalists for the 108 NZ Radio Awards are to be announced on Tuesday April 17.

The winners will be unveiled at the ceremony in Auckland on May 10.
