Canberra Survey #2

There is a new #1 station in Canberra as ABC 666 reclaims the top spot in the nation’s capital.

The ABC had jumped from third place to first for survey #2. It also sees hit104.7 move into second place with a small gap between it and sister brand Mix106.3.

Overall it is a very slim margin that separates the top three stations in the market.

Capital Radio Network will be happy with their results – 2CA an increase of 1.3 points to now a 6.8 and 2CC also up a touch to a 7.6. Each brand serving the commercial upper end demos.

In Breakfast it is the ABC that leads the pack by a healthy margin – up 3 points on last survey, they now have a 21.8 share.

The new team of Ryan & Tanya on hit104.7 have come out as the #1 FM Breakfast show, up a touch on their debut result to pull a 12.8%. For Mix 106.3 they saw 4 points sliced off their lead to take them from a 15.9 to an 11.9 and third overall. The downward trend continued for Mix across the dayparts as well.

Drive is Hamish & Andy’s turf this round and nights is the ABC’s. 18-39’s is owned by hit104.7, 40-54’s by Mix106.3 and the ABC dominates 65+.
