Vale “Country Bob” Stevenson

The South Burnett in Queensland lost one of Country Music’s Greatest supporters with the passing of radio announcer “Country Bob” Stevenson.

Bob was instrumental in promoting Country Music to the people of the South Burnett Queensland for over 30 years thru his weekly Country Music Programs and regular interviews with many of the Biggest Country Stars in Australia.

In 1983 Bob began his announcing career at Commercial Radio 4SB 1071am in Kingaroy later moving to CROW FM Wondai. His passion and love of Country Music crossed the generations and he will be sadly missed.

His funeral is being held today and such has been his impact and love by the people of our region, the South Burnett Regional Council Meeting will finish early so the Mayor Wayne Kratzmann and Councillors can attend.
