2GB PD David Kidd exits

Staff Writer

After 3 and half years David Kidd, Program Director of Sydney’s Number #1 Commercial Radio station 2GB has been made redundant.

Macquarie Radio Network executive chairman Russell Tate confirmed the move to The Australian .

“Redundancy is a redundancy. It’s an internal matter that I won’t be commenting on,’’ he said.

According to reports, he would not detail the strategy behind making the position of Program Director redundant. They also report that staff were being advised shortly.

RadioToday reached out to Macquarie Radio Network's PR team and they advised "There are no further details available as it’s an internal matter."

Is this laying the ground work for a merger with Fairfax?
