Jonesy & Amanda with “added Mark Ferguson”

Staff Writer

If Mark Ferguson’s schedule wasn’t busy enough, he has now added reading the news for WSFM 101.7.

Mark, who is the anchor of Seven’s 6pm News bulletin in Sydney, will take on news reading duties on the Jonesy & Amanda breakfast show from Monday September 29; so he has just one week of sleep-ins left.

“What really “gets my goolies”, as Jonesy & Amanda would say, is getting up before the sun, but this will be well worth it.”, Mark said.

Long-time Jonesy & Amanda newsreader Sarah Forster is set to go on maternity leave from next week.  The team felt there was none more qualified than Mark to take over the news desk while she’s away.

“Mark is an exceptional journalist, foreign correspondent and news reader with more than 30 years’ experience – but will that prepare him for sharing our box of Weet-Bix and seeing my face at 5.30am every morning?” Amanda said.

“I watch Mark on the 6pm news, he is always very well presented and professional so I look forward to roughing him up a bit,” Brendan said.

ARN added that Sarah has been the newsreader and highly regarded member of the Jonesy & Amanda team for almost three years. All at WSFM wish her all the best at this exciting time.
