Staff Writer

triple j have announced some newbies for its Mix Up Residents; Alison Wonderland, Snakehips and Roland Tings.

Every Saturday night the best DJs and producers from around the world take over triple j’s dance music show, Mix Up, to play you new tunes and DJ mixes as Mix Up Residents.

2017 is shaping up to be one of Mix Up’s biggest years ever. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come;

This Saturday on Mix Up Aluna George are in the studio playing their fourth and final set for their February residency, joined by a staple of the Australian underground music scene, Ben Fester.

There’s still plenty more to look forward to with residencies from Melbourne producer Roland Tings, UK duo Snakehips, one of Australia’s biggest dance exports, Alison Wonderland in the coming months.

Curated alongside these residents, you’ll hear guest mixes from Toro y Moi, Soul Clap, Mila, Chanel and Fishing.

Andy Garvey joins triple j as Producer for Mix Up, curating the incredible line up of Mix Up Residents. Andy is an amazing tastemaker, producer and DJ from Sydney, and we’re really excited to add her extensive knowledge of electronic music to the triple j team.

This year’s residents follow an enviable list of past resident Mix Up legends, including Dillon Francis, Kelela and Tornado Wallace.

You can hear Mix Up live on triple j at 9pm every Saturday or listen back to the whole show on the ABC Radio Player.
