Emeli Sandé is coming to Nova’s Red Room

Award winning artist Emeli Sandé is set to perform at Nova’s Red Room in Sydney this Thursday (16 Feb).

The soulful powerhouse is in Australia to promote her new single Highs & Lows from her latest album Long Live the Angels.

Compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone, Emeli Sandé will perform exclusively to an invite-only audience of guests at Leadbelly in Newtown.

The Scottish artist and songwriter came to prominence in 2009 after featuring on rapper Chipmunk’s track Diamond Rings and released her first solo single Heaven in August 2011.

Her singles’ Read All About It with Professor Green and Beneath Your Beautiful, a collaboration with Labrinth, both went to number one in the UK and Ireland.

Emeli Sandé’s album Our Version of Events spent ten weeks at number one and became the UK’s best-selling album of 2012 with over 1 million sales.

In 2012 she performed in the London Olympics’ Opening and Closing ceremonies and in 2013, she won Best British Artist and British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards.
