New GM for Bundy

After a long search, Grant Broadcasters have appointed a new General Manager to their recently acquired Bundaberg Duopoly.

Trish Mears (pictured) has been appointed to the role of General Manager for 4BU, Hitz FM and the narrowcast station Kix Country.

Mears joins Grant Broadcasters from the Bundaberg Regional Council, however has previous radio experience on the Sunshine Coast and in Bundaberg.

Mears commented; “We have a great local team, backed up by the excellent resources of Grant Broadcasters, one of Australia’ s most professional family owned radio companies”

Grant Broadcasters Director Dugald Cameron said; “Trish is well known to the Bundaberg community through her previous roles at the Bundaberg Regional Council and prior to that as Station Manager of Sea FM Bundaberg, (Trish has demonstrated) a strong commitment to the region’s growth”.

Bundaberg Broadcasters was bought from Fairfax Media by Grant Broadcasters last year for an undisclosed consideration.
