NE’s Scaleup Mediafund just invested in Hey You

NOVA Entertainment-backed Scaleup Mediafund has announced its latest investment recipient.

Hey You is a partnership of two start-ups – the social media app developer, Posse, and the mobile ordering and payment platform, Beat the Q – connecting food, bar and café outlets through personalised online relationships.

Recently hitting its eight millionth customer order, Hey You CEO Shaun Cornelius believes the investment will push the company forward in what is its first ever major media campaign.

“Hey You has enjoyed strong organic growth to date and now is the right time to build our brand awareness and grow our active customer base,” Cornelius said.

“The media investment by Scaleup Mediafund provides us with access to a significant, relevant media pool as well as insights from the team.”

Scaleup Mediafund will work with Hey You over the course of a year to help grow the product through the provision of marketing inventory and advertising.

“Hey You is a fantastic opportunity for Scaleup Mediafund to ramp-up the growth of this great product and contribute to creating a large business,” said Scaleup’s fund manager Michael Lamont.

Scaleup Mediafund is financed by News Corp Australia, FOX Sports Australia and Ten Network, along with NOVA Entertainment, who provide their services in exchange for a minority shareholding.
