Natasha Exelby bulletin-ready for KIIS breakfast

Staff Writer

It’s been an eventful few days for seasoned journalist Natasha Exelby. And from next Monday, Exelby can add KIIS 1065 breakfast newsreader to her resume – at least for one week.

She made headlines around the world on Sunday when her on-air ‘day dreaming’ blooper went viral and that five seconds of vision caught the eye of ARN bosses.

Exelby is a senior news reporter and presenter who has covered local and international news including major stories in the United States and the Middle East. Most recently, she was based in Istanbul, Turkey as a presenter and correspondent for TRTWorld before returning to Australia where she worked at ABC News 24.

Exelby has also held roles at Channel Ten, CNN and The Project.

ARN’s National CD Duncan Campbell welcomed Exelby to the news team.

“We are excited to have someone with Natasha’s expertise join our newsroom at KIIS 1065. Not only is she a seasoned journalist, but the way she has handled the unexpected attention and public scrutiny following her ‘blooper’ this week shows Natasha has poise under pressure and, most importantly, a sense of humour, so I am sure she will feel at home with the KIIS team,” he said.

Exelby will be on air between 6am and 9am from next Monday for one week.

Sydney’s #1FM Breakfast Show, The Kyle & Jackie O Show, including newsreader Brooklyn Ross, will be back on-air from April 24 when the breakfast team is back from survey break.
