Mum wins $96K on smooth stars

A local woman from Torquay won $96,000 on smoothfm on Tuesday after correctly guessing the four smooth stars voices.

29-year-old Georgie became the 31st winner of the longstanding radio competition. The mother of two was emotional after smooth announcer Simon Diaz confirmed the final voice as Canadian actress Ellen page.

After recently celebrating her third wedding anniversary with husband Anthony, the pair are currently renting and have plans to spend the money on a new house and a family holiday.

Georgie explained: “My husband and I have got two young kids and we’re saving at the moment to build our dream home so a lot of that would probably go towards our house and a beautiful family holiday.”

Beginning in late January, the smooth voices competition attracted 460 guesses, with the other three famous voices revealed as Bryan Cranston, Eric Clapton and Janet Jackson.
