Multiple changes at Gold & WSFM as Jason Staveley made head of music

Assistant Editor

ARN has announced a series of staffing movements and role changes today directly affecting its WSFM and Gold104.3 teams.

Jason Staveley will be moving back to his hometown of Melbourne in 2019 to take on the role of head of music for Gold and WSFM.

His new role means Jason will now assist in formulating the music strategy for both stations but will continue to present and produce music features.

With the move away from Sydney, Jason will be handing on his WSFM hosting duties to Zoe Sheridan until a new permanent host is found.

Gold104.3’s Bryan Madigan is moving the other way, back to his hometown of Sydney, to become WSFM’s music director.

Meantime, Jonesy & Amanda executive producer Laura Bouchet has been promoted to the role of assistant content director at WSFM, where she will continue to provide support to WSFM CD Scott Muller.

“As valued members of our team, ARN would like to congratulate Jason, Bryan and Laura on their new appointments for 2019,” said ARN national CD Duncan Campbell.

“They each play a fundamental part in ARN’s ongoing success, and we look forward to them bringing their individual strengths, vast knowledge and experience to their new roles.

“These appointments come as part of ARN’s strategy to build the next wave of content leaders from within the talented teams of our Pure Gold and KIIS Networks.”

Each of the above appointments will be effective as of 2019.

We need more women like Laura in leadership roles in this industry. Creative, smart, strong and simply put a good human and role model. Great appointment by Duncan.

Just a listener but will miss Jason on drive. They should move Steve Fitten onto drive. He is great announcer as well.

Will miss Bryan’s chuckle on the Christian O’Connell Breakfast show – hope whoever takes over his role on the show has just as good a chuckle as Bryan did
